No more half cakes.

Ten years of building things for other people taught me what actually matters. Here’s the short version.
Success isn’t how much a business can extract.

It’s how much freedom it gives back, to you, your family, and everyone your work touches.

That’s the standard I build BarakahSoft on.

This is who I am.

And

this is what I want for you too.

A few years ago, my business partner Jim missed the first slice of his son’s birthday cake. Not because he wasn’t home, he was, just down the hall, still “finishing up work.” By the time he walked into the room, the family had already started singing without him.

That night he made himself a promise. No more half cakes.

It’s stuck with me too. For most of my career, success looked like the obvious things, more clients, more revenue, a bigger stack of finished projects. I built that way for years. Somewhere along the line I realized I was optimizing for the wrong scoreboard. Success isn’t how much a business can extract, it’s how much freedom and impact it can actually create, for the people running it and the people it serves.

That’s the standard BarakahSoft is built on.

My name is Shakil Ahmed. I’m a full-stack engineer based in Rajshahi, Bangladesh, with over 10 years building websites, web apps, and backend systems for businesses across the world, from agency work through No Half Cakes to ongoing engineering work on the Legiit marketplace platform. In 2026 I formed BarakahSoft LLC to bring that experience under one roof, offering managed website services, technical builds, and honest software reviews to businesses that don’t have time to babysit their tech stack.

This isn’t about shipping a pretty website or chasing a Google ranking. It’s about what happens after, the time it gives back to you, your team, your family. When your site just works, when your hosting doesn’t wake you up at 2am, when you’re not the one debugging a plugin conflict during dinner, that’s the actual product.

There are thousands of agencies promising magic results. What we promise instead is that we treat your business like it matters, because running one from the other side of the world has taught me exactly how much the details matter when no one’s watching.

On behalf of everyone at BarakahSoft, our commitment is simple: we do the work properly, we tell you the truth about what’s working and what isn’t, and we do whatever it takes to make sure you never have to walk into a room after the singing’s already started.

Ready to grow?

Let’s do it together.
